Dubrovnik, magical lake, winery, spa

We were looking for 'black pottery,' so wandered into the town of Filovci.  Stopped in a little cafe for a drink and advice.

Found out about a  pottery museum down the dirt road. Another place we would never have found without local guidance. It was closed, unfortunately, but we had a wander around.

The lady at the cafe also suggested that we go see a lake, she was quite insistent. So glad we took her advice!  This is a place with legends about faeries from the ice age and marked 'energy points' and a wondrous feeling.

Also, randomly, this house with twisted columns. WTF?

Before coming down the hill from the faerie woods we stopped at a hilltop church and then winery:

Off to the spa in Murska Sobata, a small golf & resort town famous for it's hot springs and mineral water. The place we elected to spend our afternoon had many pools, indoor and outdoor, at various temperatures and at various amounts of the 'black water.' Which does look very dark and smell minerally. I got a massage, Jan pursued a meal. She was disappointed. I was not disappointed but it was extremely odd for me. I have a souvenir of this experience though. You will have to ask me about that. These are not my pictures but are from the site of Terme 3000.
