Siem Reap & floating village-Sunday

With a pre-booked kayaking tour to a floating village we looked close to the hotel for morning activities and settled on the Botanical garden and the cultural center. A few snaps from the botanical enter, including Jan in her new hat.

The cultural center was very interesting if desperately under-utilized.

Finally our 2:30p pickup at our hotel - Paul came over and met us there. Fairly long drive out to the country, board a long boat and a fairly long ride on the river. We stopped at one of the floating homes where they keep kayaks and sell a few groceries. They also raise crocodiles. Yes, on their houseboat.

Where they worship, shop and go to school along with how they travel with their family.
