KK with Paul

When Paul arrived in the evening, we took his stuff up to the apartment and let him wax enthusiastic about his bunk bed ( :/ ) and then popped downstairs to the Sushi place to eat. The next day, Thursday the 17th was a day to walk around the mall, get money, get the upcoming tours paid for.

On my dive I met some people that work in the north of KK and one of them gave me the name of a park that is well used by locals to see the sunset. We took a “Grab” (it’s a local Uber-like thing) to the park and walked over to the beach for the sunset. We passed through a small night-food market on the way and thought to go back to it and grab some food, but then we saw a festively lighted-up restaurant up the beach and walked there. Great decision, we had good food and beers and there was a live band with a really great singer. An eco-tourism place was having a company gathering and they got more and more fun as the night went on. We chatted with some of them and enjoyed their lively enjoyment. A couple of them even got up and sang with the band.
