Wandering in Washington
Buttermilk Creek is a “Boondockers Welcome” site near Twisp, WA. Absolutely fabulous place on a property 11 miles down the Twisp River Road. Parked by a picnic table and a babbling brook for five days. Owner brought me fresh eggs. Went hiking with the pups every day. Wrote a lot. Turned the heater on a couple times!
Lookout Trail
Meadowlark (Winthrop) (Check out the glider being towed by the airplane!)
Patterson Mountain
Wenatchee River County Park (and the road there from Twisp and Okanogan.) (Check out the mirror image in the glassy lake.)
Free camping, pay for the beer. Yummy beer, too.
