Luang Prabang Food Market & Waterfalls-Friday

Jan took a Laos cooking class. It started with a visit to the food market, which I thought would be interesting but I didn’t want to spend the day cooking. Our master of ceremonies at the hotel, Mr. Loom, arranged for me to be picked up at the food market and driven out to these famous waterfalls. Unbelievably beautiful. We’ll start with the food market. I did not venture into the meat sections, being the soft-hearted vegetarian I am. This wonderful guide did tell us what many of these things are, I honestly don’t remember. Now scroll down and look at the amazing waterfalls.

I took an hour drive out in a van to explore this park. These are Asian Black Bears. They are very fat.

Now to the main event. Of the day. Of the trip. Possibly of my life. It is not a waterfall but a massive system of falls and pools. Swimmers welcome!
