Visit with a trail angel

A friend from our Las Vegas hiking group went off to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. When she reached the northernmost point, she bought a ‘hiker compound’ and now serves as a trail angel. This means she and those who help her offer a bunk or a tent site, a place to prepare food, campfires, rides to and from the trail head, some shared meals. They organize lost and found and donations. Do people’s laundry. Create traditions and rituals. Provide safety, rest and camaraderie among people tackling the long and difficult journey.

A few of us decided to come see this miracle or ourselves.
