Compressed and Ecstatic

Day 1 in the bag.

The battle of the compressor, the drive is always longer than I think it will be, how do you drive this thing again? Gas station panic. A last minute change of venue. A lovely visit with newlyweds Travis and Inga - and a thing called Ecstatic Dance.

My little compressor that I love so very much?  Stopped working. I'm a little heartbroken. No time to fight a return or even order another, so the only place I could find one locally was ... yeah, Walmart. I don't go to Walmart. Except I did.  Sigh.  This compressor does not work nearly as well. It is bigger/more powerful, but the chuck leaks. (Why do you suppose the include sealing tape? I wondered. But I didn't wonder for long.) What a pain.  So ... finally got out of the house an hour late.

It always takes longer than I think it will, even when I allow for it taking longer than I think it will.

Started with a full tank and filled up three times. About $150/diesel spent today. Probably even more tomorrow.

It takes me a little bit to get my head on straight about all the things I have to remember with the camper, but it fell in to place pretty easily and I'm definitely better (and less panicky) at gas stations, this year. Even did a bit of backing up.

Since I was later than I'd hope, I told Inga I'd just meet them at the Krishna Temple. I got there about 7:45p which is fine. The DJ was from 7:00-10:00p.  Dancing is fun. I don't get enough of it. Then there was a PTA-style vegan dinner.  Weird to be eating at 10:30p, but what the heck.
